Kolkata doctor rape case updates : The victim’s father claims the “entire department is suspect” after NCW levels a”tampering”complaint

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) demanded on Friday that physicians’ services be suspended countrywide for twenty-four hours in protest of the violence at the protest site and the death of a trainee physician at Kolkata’s RG Kar government hospital. “Every vital service will continue to be provided. There will be casualties. Elective procedures will not be performed, and routine OPDs will not operate. Every industry in which doctors practice contemporary medicine has experienced a withdrawal. According to an IMA press release, “IMA needs the nation’s sympathy with the just cause of its doctors.”

Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, stated that the accused should be executed because it is a “big crime.” She attributed Wednesday night’s vandalism against RG Kar to “Bam [Left] and Ram [BJP]”. Following reports of damage and rampage occurrences outside Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, she made her remark. In the meantime, medical professionals in Kolkata are still protesting the occurrence. Outside AIIMS Delhi, protests were also held.

On August 9, a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted and killed in the historic hall of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. Medical services have come to a complete halt due to the Kolkata rape case, as physicians and students are still demanding justice for the resident PG doctor. Videos depict a group of several dozen people trespassing into the RG Kar Hospital emergency room and damaging furniture. Some people were even observed damaging the protest location. The investigation into the rape and murder case in Kolkata has been taken over by the CBI.
