After ongoing attacks on Gaza, Israel Bombs Lebanon; Kills 569 people including children

Israel’s heavy shelling in multiple regions of Lebanon has resulted in at least 569 deaths, including 50 children, and 1,835 injuries, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.

In response to calls for an immediate de-escalation from international leaders and the UN, Lebanon’s Hezbollah launched a flurry of missiles at Israeli air bases and launched a drone attack on  naval basements.

According to the Palestinian Civil Defence, Israel has continued its attacks on the Gaza Strip, killing at least 37 civilians since this morning’s dawn.

In Israel’s attack on Gaza, at least 41,467 people have died and 95,921 have been injured. At least 1,139 people were killed and over 200 were captured in Israel on October 7 as a result of strikes spearheaded by Hamas.

The militant organisation Hezbollah, supported by Iran, has launched hundreds of rockets and drones onto northern Israel from Lebanon since the conflict between Israel and Hamas broke out last October.

Days before, Israeli attacks on the extremist group claimed more than 500 lives in Lebanon, including the intercept of a rocket. In nearly two decades, Monday was the deadliest day in Lebanon.

Hezbollah in Lebanon has reported that an Israeli strike has killed commander Ibrahim Qubaisi. Hezbollah retaliated by attacking Israeli air bases with a flurry of missiles and using drones to attack a naval facility.

Leaders from around the world attending the UN General Assembly have continued in demanding a de-escalation in the area.

Israeli forces shot at least four Palestinians during a raid on multiple villages in the occupied West Bank, one of whom is critically injured. The attack took place in the Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron.
