End of relief in South Bengal, no chance of Rain after May 13

According to the Alipore Meteorological Department, all of the South Bengal districts could see light to moderate rain on Monday along with thunderstorm.

On Thursday, thunderstorms will dissipate from the majority of South Bengal’s districts.

But, Purulia, West Medinipur, West Burdwan, Murshidabad, and Birbhum might receive rain.

According to meteorologists, the rain will stop in those districts from Friday.

Besides, the Meteorological Department said that the sky will be cloudy in Kolkata on Monday. The maximum temperature will be around 32 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature will be around 26 degrees Celsius.

The rainfall over the past few days has brought respite to the state from the month-long heatwave. The maximum temperature in the last two days for Kolkata was between 30ºC and 32°C, while the minimum temperature spanned around 21-25°C.

Although the sky is cloudy on Monday, the weather is uncomfortable.

Now, a lot of people are wondering if there will be again a heatwave or not.

According to the Met officials, the temperature of Bengal will increase in the next few days from Friday. However, the weather office has not yet commented on whether heat wave conditions will develop or not.
