A family from Chattisgarh has been reunited after a long 13 years. Lalit Bareth and Gurbari along with their child came to Kolkata for treatment as Gurbari was suffering from severe mental disorder.
Coming to a complete unknown place, the cities buzz, busy environment, confusing roads ended up separation the family. Gurbari along with her son were detached from her husband. When came in notice of the police, because of her mental disorder, the court sent her to the Pavlo Hospital and the child was sent to a shelter for kids.
Despite parental pressure, Lalit Bareth did not remarry. And visited the Gangasagar mela every year in the hope to meet his family again.
After so many years, the Pavlov hospital declared Gurbari as completely fit and she was desperate to go home and meet her family. Thanks to Phoolbagan Police in Kolkata & Shakti Police in Chattisgarh as they made it possible, and came in touch with the women’s family. It is known that the family was from Kirari village under Shakti PS in Bilaspur district of Chattisgarh.The family was reunited at Kolkata. After being seperated on October 20, 2010. Then, Gurbari was 27 and their son was 11 years old. Now, their son is a grown up.
