India Clean Sweep Bangladesh 3-0 with the Second-Highest T20I Score in 3rd T/20

In their third and final game against Bangladesh, the Indian cricket team scored 297/6, which is the second-highest T20I total ever.

Sanju Samson was a standout performer for India, scoring the second-fastest century in the format and smashing his first T20I century. Samson finished with 111 from 47 deliveries, including eight sixes and eleven fours, having achieved his century in just forty balls. He and captain Suryakumar Yadav scored an explosive 173 runs off 70 balls. Yadav struck 75 off 35 balls, including five sixes and eight fours, to perfectly complement Samson.

India’s score approached 300 in the last overs thanks to the relentless efforts of Hardik Pandya (47 off 18 balls, 4 fours, 4 sixes) and Riyan Parag (34 off 13 balls, 1 four, 4 sixes), who added 70 runs for the fourth wicket.

In response, Bangladesh scored 164-7 to lose by 133 runs in the final Twenty20 match for the country captained by Mahmudullah Riyad. Mahmudullah scored eight runs before being caught by speedster Mayank Yadav. India captain Suryakumar Yadav gave him a pat on the back and a smile as he left the field.

In their third Twenty20 International, India’s skipper Suryakumar Yadav chose to bat against Bangladesh after winning the toss. Bangladesh made two changes to their playing XI, while India made just one, substituting seamer Arshdeep Singh for Ravi Bishnoi.

Shortly after the toss, the BCCI said, “Mr. Harshit Rana was unavailable for selection for the third T20I due to a viral infection and did not travel with the team to the stadium.”
