Myanmar borders to be fenced.

Union Home ministry Amit Shah has announced that centre would fence India-Myanmar border areas. This decision has been taken amid the case where around 600 military personnel from Myanmar has been seen fleeing from Myanmar to India to avoid ethnic clashes. “India borders with Myanmar to be protected as borders with Bangladesh” Amit Shah said.

Nearly 600 soldiers has been seen fleeing into India in the last three months and taking refuge in Mizoram’s Lwangtlai district after their camps were captured by some ethnic armed group from western Myanmar.

People living in border areas would soon require visa to enter the other country.

The Mizoram government reached the Indian government to ensure that the soldiers from the neighbouring country, are sent back.
