The Indian team, on the other hand, has recovered recently and earned a bronze medal in Tokyo 2020, delighting the devoted fans of the sport who had been waiting for the squad to reach the podium.

They continued to dominate, taking home Gold Medals in the Olympics in 1932, 1936, 1948, 1952, 1956, 1964, and 1980.
