Sachin Tendulkar himself once said that he was offered huge sums of money to advertise alcohol or other drugs like gutkha. But he promised his father never to attract the new generation to drugs in life. So he rejected all those offers.
A few days ago, Gautam Gambhir brought up the topic and said that now he feels bad to see cricketers advertising paan masala to earn money. Because there are other ways to earn money. Gambhir cites Sachin’s selfless sacrifice as an example.
