A major 7.4 magnitude earthquake hit East Taiwan on Wednesday morning. This is the strongest earthquake, that hit Taiwan in 25 years. Taiwan’s authorities sent precaution message to citizens, alarming them about the earthquake and to take necessary precautions. Especially to people living in the coastal areas, warning them to move away to a safe area away from the coastal radius.
The after shock with a magnitude of 6.5 was also experienced by Taipei.
Japan’s meteorological agency issued a warning for tsunami waves as high as 10 feet in the remote Japanese islands.
