West Bengal Cyclonic Circulation Rain Forecast: Will Cyclone Trigger Rain in Eid and Bengali New Year?

IMD predicts a cyclonic circulation which is lying over central parts of mid-Maharashtra and a trough/wind discontinuity running from southeast Rajasthan to north parts of Coastal Karnataka in lower tropospheric levels.
Under their influence: Isolated light/moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning very likely over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar and Andaman & Nicobar Islands during 10th-14th April.

Today parts of The South Bengal region such as North and South 24 parganas, Medinipur, and Jhargram likely to witness medium to low rainfall with thunder activities.

On Thursday North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas,East Midinipur, Purulia, Jhargram, West Midinipur, Bankura and West Burdwan are likely to experience thundershowers.

South 24 Parganas, East Midinipur, Purulia, West Midinipur, Bankura and West Burdwan will have a wind speed of 30-40 km per hour. A yellow warning has been issued.
