Marcus Stoinis’ maiden ton helps Lucknow complete historic run-chase at Chepauk

Chennai Super Kings lost the toss and elected to bat against Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday. They made a huge innings of 210 runs for 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a stunning century. Shivam Dubey scored a devastating half-century.

Finally, Gaikwad remained unbeaten by playing a captaincy innings of 108 runs off 60 balls with the help of 12 fours and 3 sixes. This is Ruturaj’s second century in IPL. Earlier in 2021, he scored an unbeaten 101 against Rajasthan Royals in Abu Dhabi for Chennai.

In reply to this unbelievable chase Marcus Stoinis hit the 56-ball century with 9 fours and 5 sixes. This is his first IPL century. Finally, with the help of 13 fours and 6 sixes, Stoinis remained unbeaten with 124 runs from 63 balls. This is the highest individual innings in the current IPL so far.

Marcus Stoinis overpowers CSK bowlers with his scintillating knock. Stoinis was named the Player of the Match for his memorable century. Stoinis smoked 6 sixes in his first-ever IPL ton.
