Re-polling in process at 11 boots in Manipur: Lok Sabha elections 2024

Following the declaration of 19th April polls as void, Re-polling is in process at 11 booths in the Manipur parliamentary constituency on Monday.

Delving deep into the incident, it is known that various reports of violence at some polling stations in conflict-striken Manipur has been reported where miscreants has been seen open firing and even destroying Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

Following the incidence of April 19, the security measures in the constituency has been escalated to prevent further intense scenes in the area.

As a result of the violent acts carried out, and the conclusion of the first phase of Lok Sabha elections of 2024, the Manipur Electoral Officer (CEO ) announced that re-polling would be conducted at 11 polling stations in the Manipur Lok Sabha seat.
