Earlier, Riyan Parag’s fighting knock of 48 off 34 steered RR to 144 for 9 in 20 overs after the side opted to bat first. For PBKS, Sam Curran, Rahul Chahar and Harshal Patel all picked two wickets each.

RR started off clinical with the ball, as Boult struck in the very first over, followed by Avesh Khan who wreaked havoc to scalp two wickets in his first over, as PBKS were pushed to a measly 48-4.

It was all on skipper Sam Curran, who took the weight of the expectation and alongside Jitesh Sharma put up a slow and steady fifty partnership to rebuild the PBKS innings and finished off the chase with a bit of help from Ashutosh Sharma to clinch a 5-wicket win with 7 balls remaining.
